What does it mean to be licensed and authorized by the professional golfers? Pro Tour has been given the right in a contract with each individual golfer:

Pro Tour pioneered the authentication of golf memorabilia. Golfers have contracts with Pro Tour Memorabilia. Golfers approve all photographs. All autographs are signed in the presence of a witness. The golfer and the witness sign an affadavit certifying the authenticity of the signatures, the number and description of all items signed and the date and location of the signing is noted. A certificate of authenticity bearing the Pro Tour Memorabilia and PGA TOUR logos is issued with each autographed item. No other certification is as reliable!
