Sophie Sandolo launches her new explosive and sexy calendar for 2006.
"I could not resist, the 2005 calendar brought me so much luck and such enormous visibility that I could not start the 2006 season without repeating the experience!" With those simple words and with great enthusiasm Sophie Sandolo, 28 year-old French-born Italian professional golf player, released her new 2006 sexy golf calendar.
"2005 was a great year for me, everything started with the great worldwide success of my first calendar, then I had my best golf season and at last I’ve closed an important deal with a new sponsor for my clothes! How could I refuse the offer to make a new calendar?" explained the glamorous French - Italian player, with simplicity.
Thanks to the publication of an explosive and innovative sexy calendar during 2005 Sophie Sandolo gave professional golf players a new, intriguing and glamorous image.
Even the non-golfing public- warmly welcomed the slightly unconventional idea of the glamorous Sophie and the whole world of women’s golf received great benefits thanks to Sophie’s calendar.
The Sophie Sandolo "Player Profile" on the web site of the Ladies European Tour received more hits than any other player’s during the 2005 season confirming the great interest provoked by the explosive shooting of her first calendar.
In the 2005 golf season Sophie Sandolo demonstrated that she didn’t need a calendar to get the press talking about her and she closed the season with a wonderful 15th place in the European Money List, her best placement in her career. During the 2005 season Sophie Sandolo had 5 top 10 finishes being on the verge of her first victory with a 2nd place at the Catalonia Ladies Masters and a 3rd place at the BMW Ladies Italian Open in Rome.
Her scoring average improved dramatically passing from 73,72 shots in 2004 to 71,55 in 2005.
"I’m strongly convinced that women’s golf needs more visibility and glamour and to present itself in a younger and more intriguing way. In the last few years women’s golf has made some giant steps but the road is still long. Realized by the famous Italian photographer Paolo Ranzani, who photographed the first calendar too, the 2006 sexy golf calendar was shot on location inside the spectacular UNA Resort & Country Club Poggio dei Medici in the striking Tuscan countryside.
The 12 shots of the 2006 calendar were released to the public at a selected press evening in a very famous disco in Monte Carlo and Sophie Sandolo took the time to discuss the calendar with the media, personally signing the very first copies of the new calendar.
"Sure it’s a sexy calendar but I prefer to consider it an elegant, funny and ironic product on line with my joyful and slightly unconventional character".
The 2006 Sophie Sandolo sexy calendar will be distributed through her very own new web site - www.sophiesandolo.it - where her fans can also find messages, pictures, articles written about the elegant player as well as... some things about her very private life. The calendar will be also sold, as last year, on ebay, the most famous web site for sales on-line.
During the presentation of the 2006 calendar Sophie Sandolo announced a two-year agreement with the famous brand Chervò, European leader for sport clothes.
"I’m delighted to have found with Chervò a great partner for the next two seasons and I would like to thank the Erlacher family for trusting me. The clothes I will wear next year are comfortable, colourful and full of glamour and you will see I will be sexy on the golf course as well as on the calendar!"
Born in Nice but of Italian nationality Sophie Sandolo is one of the best golf professionals on the Ladies European Tour. After a brilliant amateur career she gained her card to play the Ladies European Tour at the end of the season 1999.
In a 6 year career to date, she has played 85 events with eleven top ten finishes and 16 top 20s with her career best finish a tie for second place at the Catalonia Ladies Masters 2005 and at the Spanish Open 2003.
5’6" tall (171 cm) with dark blond hair and green eyes Sophie Sandolo enjoys dancing, windsurfing and information technology. She always took a typically feminine approach to the sports she practiced and particularly enjoys the link between golf, fashion and glamour.
