Product Description:

This pennant celebrates the University of Alabama Crimson Tide 1961 Football National Champions. It features the classic mascot of the era. Bear Bryant was on his way to becoming an Alabama institution in 1961, and the Tide won their first national title under his leadership. They would go on to win five more with Bear at the helm, but the first is always the sweetest. Alabama went 11-0 in 1961, racking up 297 points and allowing only 25. They were ranked first in the nation, and concluded their season with a 10-3 win over Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. Victory Pennants are made of high-quality soft wool-felt and are screen-printed by hand. They measure 12-inches tall and 30-inches long. They have traditional felt pennant-ties and hang beautifully. All of our pennants are manufactured in the United States and are officially licensed by the NCAA.
