Eddie Murray burst onto the Major League Baseball scene in 1977 and that season won the American League Rookie of the Year Award. Murray became the 20th player in League history to collect 3,000 hits, but was only the second switch hitter to accomplish that feat. He was one of only three men (Hank Aaron and Willie Mays were the others) with 500-plus HRs and 3,000-plus hits in his career. Eddie Murray has hand signed this official MLB baseball and added the inscription, "HOF 2003," for the year he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
