This pennant celebrates the Georgia Bulldogs 1980 Nationall Football Champions. Coach Vince Dooley's Bulldogs beat Notre Dame 17-10 in the Sugar Bowl to finish 13-0 and claim the national championship. Georgia was led by Herschel Walker, Buck Belue and Lindsay Scott. Walker played tailback and was named an All-American along with kicker Rex Robinson and cornerback Scott Woerner. Georgia was listed first at the end of the season by the AP, Berryman, FACT, FB News, FW, Helms, National Championship Foundation, NFF, Poling, Sporting News and UPI.
