John Maine is fast becoming a Shea Stadium favorite. The pitcher joined the New York Mets in 2006 after the Baltimore Orioles traded him and Jorge Julio for Kris Benson. Maine went 6-5 with a 3.60 ERA in 15 starts in his debut season for the Mets, showing flashes of dominance that included a stretch of 26 scoreless innings pitched and an all-important Game Six NLCS win over the Cardinals. Maine's 2007 season is off to a strong start, as he went 4-0 in April and on April 7 flirted with a no-hitter against the Marlins, achievements that earned him National League Pitcher of the Month honors. John Maine has hand signed this 16x20 photograph of him throwing against the Philadelphia Phillies during the home opener at Shea Stadium on April 9, 2007.
