Meanwhile, Cabrera was recalled from the Bombers' Triple-A affiliate Columbus in May, 2006, to replace an injured Hideki Matsui in left field. Today, with his sweet swing, ability to chase down fly balls and great arm, Cabrera is the Yankees' starting center fielder.
