Product Description:
This pennant celebrates the Michigan Wolverines 1947 National Championship Football team. It features the classic Wolverine mascot. Head coach Fritz Crisler let loose his "Mad Magicians" with one of the trickiest offenses in college football history. As a result, Michigan, led by tailback Bob Chappius, wingback Chalmers "Bump" Elliott, QB Howard Yerges and fullback Jack Weisenburger, went 10-0 in 1947. Michigan crushed USC 49-0 in the Rose Bowl, and were ranked No. 1 in a postseason AP poll. Victory Pennants are made of high-quality soft wool-felt and are screen-printed by hand. They measure 12-inches tall and 30-inches long. They have traditional felt pennant-ties and hang beautifully. All of our pennants are manufactured in the United States and are officially licensed by the NCAA.
