Product Description:
Yadier Molina is one of the finest young catchers in baseball. Molina, younger brother of Bengie and Jose Molina, has made a name for himself since joining the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004. Molina stunned the Mets in Game Seven of the 2006 NLCS when he crushed a ninth inning home run off Aaron Heilman, sending the Cardinals to the World Series and a date with destiny. Jeff Suppan was drafted out of high school in 1993 by the Boston Red Sox and the talented pitcher quickly worked his way through the minor league system and into the BoSox' rotation. Suppan subsequently pitched for the Diamondbacks, Royals, Pirates and Red Sox again before joining the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004. The pitcher posted winning records in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and was the NLCS MVP in 2006 as the Cardinals made their charge to World Series glory. Suppan is now pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers. Yadier Molina and Jeff Suppan have each hand signed this 8x10 photograph of them conferring on the mound during Game Seven of the NLCS at Shea Stadium in Flushing, New York, on October 19, 2006. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
